‘It is much more than just a Job’
Our amazing Support Worker Frida joined Interchange a whooping 12 years ago and we are so glad that she did. She is a truly regular i Think You Are Awesome award nominee, and we are excited to be celebrating her through this story a little bit extra today!
I love people, and I love to make a difference in the life of people with disability.
Frida has a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of people with disability – it’s what brings her joy. Seeing the smiles on the faces of those she supports is a major source of motivation for her, and it’s what has kept her dedicated to her role over the years. Frida’s place in the Belmont team is more than just a job; it has provided her with a cherished sense of belonging. She deeply values the strong work ethic of her colleagues, which adds even more meaning to her daily work.
Interchange is like my family. The connection with the people is strong and keeps me motivated doing my best.
Finding her place while living abroad hasn’t always been easy. However, overcoming the challenges she faced when she first arrived in Australia as an international student in 2009 has led to the rewarding achievement of becoming an Australian citizen. In addition to this milestone, she is also celebrating her 19th wedding anniversary and her daughter’s 18th birthday this year. Amazing!
When Frida isn’t supporting people with disability to live their best lives, she loves spending time with her precious family, catching up with friends over lunch, or enjoying her hobbies like playing the guitar, singing, and coloring.
Thank you, Frida – We Think You Are Awesome!
Our awesome staff bring passion and commitment to their vital roles. We think they are amazing – but the best feedback is always the one coming directly from you.
