‘The people I support, helped me grow as a person!’
Did you know that Meigan, our amazing Midland Support Worker, played the guitar for 10 years? Pretty cool right?

Several years ago, Meigan would work at her old job at a food court, and she would always be so delighted by the great spirit and friendliness people with disability would approach her with. This led her to think, ‘why not become a Support Worker’?
Fast forward four years, and she is a valued member of her Midland team and feels a sense of belonging. She truly enjoys the close-knit her teammates have and that there will always be someone available, should any questions arise. They have become more than just teammates, to Meigan they are all friends.
People with disability want to be treated the same as everyone else, treat them as you would a friend who needs that extra bit of patience and support. Treat them like you would want to be treated.
When Meigan is not supporting people with disability to live a good life and achieve their goals she enjoys hanging out with friends and going out to eat. She likes to dive into great reads and watch movies. If she is up to getting active, you might find her in the gym at a boxing class!
Meigan finds traveling, seeing and experiencing new situations, places and people very inspiring. A recent month-long trip to the UK with her bestie has been a one-of-a-kind experience for her and the memories from that wonderful vacation will last her a lifetime.
Her partner is someone she can always count on, and her family means the world to her. They motivate and support her in everything she does.
Meigan’s life motto is: ‘Don’t take everything too serious & good things take time.’
