NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
In December 2020, the registration and regulation of NDIS service providers in WA will formally transition to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (QSC).
All Service Providers will need to align their organisational culture, policies and practices to meet the mandatory quality and safety compliance requirements under the NDIS Commission Quality & Safety Framework.
Interchange recently secured consultancy support through the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Readiness Project to help us with our thinking around how we involve and engage the people we support.
A dedicated Interchange team has been put together to work on this project. However, we are keen to hear your ideas around how we can develop our services and are currently looking for Expressions of Interests to be part of a workshop, to identify ways on how we can improve your involvement in the development of policies, governance and in designing service models. Alison Blake from Strategic Support will facilitate this session.
The session will include:
- A brief overview of NDIS requirements for involving people;
- Discussion of the approach and strategies being used elsewhere in the sector including co-design;
- Service mapping to identify gaps and opportunities for decision making by people with disability.
