We are thrilled to announce a significant development in the history of our organisations and our commitment to supporting people with disability across the Perth and Peel region. Interchange and Diversity South are teaming up, creating an exciting opportunity to enhance our services, develop our people, and provide sustainable services across the Perth Metro and Peel region.
Interchange and Diversity South share very similar values, with both having over 30 years of experience supporting and empowering people with disability to live the lives they choose.
Through uniting Diversity South and Interchange, the two organisations bring a joint commitment to:
- Ensuring quality, safe and sustainable services are provided to people with disability in the Peel and surrounding areas;
- Improving efficiencies in providing disability services including Social & Community Participation, Individualised Living Options, In-Home supports and Supported Independent Living services;
- Improving capacity to provide increased services for the benefit of people living with disability in the Peel and surrounding regions, and
- Maintaining an excellent workplace that values, develops and empowers our employees.
Our key priority throughout this merger is a seamless transition process and with it the continuity of supports and the wellbeing of the people we support and our valued employees. Although Diversity South will join Interchange, it will continue to operate under its name, houses, and where possible its people and teams.
Joining together combines the strengths of both organisations, offering more opportunities for people with disability to live a good life – a life they choose.
Julie Waylen, CEO of Diversity South expressed,
“Diversity South has made the decision the timing is right for us to grow into a bigger, stronger and more diversified organisation to harness the potential to make a positive difference to the lives of people with disability”.
Interchange’s CEO Justin O’Meara Smith stated,
“We are looking forward to welcoming the people of Diversity South through this partnership. We are excited to see our Home & Living services complemented through the services of Diversity South and know that together we will create new opportunities for people with disability and the people who love and support them. Together we will build a stronger, more sustainable provider of NDIS services in the Perth, Mandurah and Peel region.”
We look forward to a future filled with new opportunities as Diversity South and Interchange unite to provide exceptional services, create a welcoming workplace and foster a community where everyone belongs. Together, we will operate as one, ensuring that every person feels valued and included.
