Good Neighbour Arrangement

What is a Good Neighbour Arrangement?

A Good Neighbour (GN) Arrangement is a support arrangement where a person with a disability lives in their own home with oversight and support from a Good Neighbour.

The Good Neighbour provides guidance and assistance for the person to live safely in their home, and helping them with trouble shooting as required. The GN is also committed to building a personal, mutually respectful and nurturing relationship with the person.

The person may also have other supports to assist with daily living activity and their community interests as required.

Each GN arrangement is unique, according to the person’s circumstances. Through living in a home of their own and having someone close by to help, the person experiences an enhanced sense of connection and belonging in their community.
