Interchange WA Officially Commences NDIS Services in Albany

Supporting the Albany community to flourish through local, person-centred disability services

Today marks an important milestone for both Interchange WA and the Albany community.
As of 3 December, Interchange WA has officially commenced Albany NDIS services. This follows Anglicare WA’s transition out of local disability support.

This Go Live date coincides with the International Day of People with Disability, making today especially meaningful. On a day dedicated to recognising inclusion, visibility, and the rights of people with disability, we reaffirm our commitment. We ensure high-quality, person-centred supports remain strong and accessible in regional Western Australia.

Supporting Albany Through a Time of Change

Over recent weeks, our teams have worked closely with customers, families, and the local workforce to ensure a smooth, respectful transition of their services. We have welcomed many existing Albany Support Workers into the Interchange WA team. This helps maintain continuity, familiarity, and community connection.

Our focus from day one is clear:

  • Delivering reliable and high-quality Albany NDIS services
  • Providing stability and continuity for customers who have chosen to be supported by Interchange WA
  • Supporting and growing a strong, inclusive local workforce
  • Building sustainable community partnerships
  • Delivering all services through our values of Respect, Individuality, Empowerment, and Belonging

Community-Led, Locally Driven

Interchange WA is committed to helping the Albany community flourish for the long term. By creating new opportunities for local employment, listening to community needs, and working closely with local government and community organisations, we aim to establish a stable and sustainable service presence- one that grows with the community and strengthens the future of Albany NDIS services.

A Meaningful Beginning

Launching on the International Day of People with Disability reinforces our belief that everyone belongs, and that quality disability support should be available to every person, regardless of where they live.

We are honoured to take this step forward with the people of Albany and look forward to supporting people live great lives.
