We are excited to be able to now offer flexible Short-Term Accommodation (STA) NDIS and Respite Care Options depending on your individual needs for new and existing Interchangers.
We know that short-term and respite care may be required for a range of reasons including:
- Gaining skills towards living independently
- Emergency situations
- Leaving hospital and requiring additional support with recovery
- Your caregiver requires respite or you need/want time away from home
Where would you like to stay?
- Host family accommodation
- Interchange Supported Homes
- Or look into an option that works for your needs.
Your daily needs will be cared for by our experienced support teams. They will understand your support needs and plan your stay with you to ensure you get the most out of your short break. Helping you with transport to and from your destination, arranging meals, planning local activities, and ensuring your support needs are met around medication, personal care and assistance.
Your short-stay experience with Interchange includes:
- Access to wheelchair accessible and standard accommodation.
- Transport options such as wheelchair-accessible vans.
- Stays in an Interchange SIL house in a Host accommodation.
- A fun, safe experience!
The NDIS provides Short-Term Accommodation (STA) funding for people to enjoy a break and Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA) funding for up to 90 days, and this can include all essential costs. You may also be able to use your Core Funding for this option.
